Allport is a small town in Lonoke County, Arkansas, United States. It is located in Central Arkansas along Highway 165. The town's economy is strongly connected to farming.
For many years, Allport was a community where most residents were African-American. In 1967, the town officially became a municipality. This step helped Allport get funding for important services like roads and water. In 2010, the population was 115 people.

History of Allport
Allport officially became a town in 1967. The first Mayor was Johnny E. Gay, an African-American man and a veteran of World War II. He led the effort to make Allport an official town. After becoming Mayor, he made many important improvements for the community. The people of Allport even set aside a special day to celebrate him, called Johnny E. Gay Day. Another local celebration is Flat Land Day.
