Mitchell played for the Cleveland Browns and the Denver Broncos. He was chosen by the Browns in the 1968 NFL draft. Before that, he played college football at Morgan State University.

Alvin Mitchell's NFL Career
The Cleveland Browns picked Alvin Mitchell in the 1968 NFL draft. He was the 267th player chosen overall. In his first year, 1968, he played in 12 games for the Browns. He also played in two important playoff games that season.
In 1969, Mitchell played in all 14 games for the Browns. He also played in two more playoff games.
In 1970, the Browns traded Mitchell to the Buffalo Bills. A trade means one team sends a player to another team. Later, the Bills decided they did not need him. This is called being "waived."
