Alyona Leonidovna Minkovski (Russian: Алёна Леони́довна Минько́вская; born January 30, 1986) is a Russian American journalist and TV host. She shares her opinions on news and current events. Alyona was born in Moscow, which is in Russia. She grew up in California, in the United States. Her mother is Irina Rodnina, a famous figure skater and politician. Her father is Leonid Minkovski, a businessman from a Russian Jewish family.
When Alyona was four years old, she moved to the United States with her family. She went to the University of California, Santa Cruz. There, she earned a degree in politics. This means she studied how governments work and how people make decisions in society.
