Amaia Salamanca was born in Coslada, Spain. When she was younger, she didn't originally plan to become an actress. However, she decided to try out for a TV show called SMS. This was her very first audition, and she got the part! This show, on the TV channel LaSexta, was her first acting job. In SMS, she worked alongside other young actors like Yon González and Mario Casas.
