Coslada is a city and municipality in the Community of Madrid in central Spain. It's a busy place known for its important role in moving goods around the country.

Coslada is home to the Dry Port of the Community of Madrid. This means it's a big center where goods arrive and are sent out, even though it's not near the sea. Because it's close to the Madrid–Barajas Airport and this Dry Port, Coslada has become a major "logistics hub." A logistics hub is like a giant sorting and storage center for products.

Since the 1990s, the area from Madrid to Guadalajara along the A-2 freeway has grown a lot. It's sometimes called the "golden mile" of online sales. This whole region now has a huge amount of space for storing and moving goods. Many companies choose Coslada because it's so good for shipping. In fact, Coslada has more logistics companies than any other city in Spain.

Many people in Coslada work at the airport. Also, lots of Spanish shipping companies have offices here. For example, El Corte Inglés has a big distribution center in the city. A delivery company called Nacex also opened a new center in Coslada in 2018.

As of 2019, the mayor of Coslada is Ángel Viveros. He is a member of the PSOE. The mayor is the elected leader of the city.
