Hilda Augusta Amanda Kerfstedt (born June 5, 1835, in Eskilstuna – died April 10, 1920, in Stockholm) was a Swedish writer. She wrote many novels, plays, and translated books for others. Amanda Kerfstedt was a very popular writer in Sweden during the late 1800s and early 1900s. She also took part in important public discussions.

Amanda Kerfstedt was very involved in the movement for women's rights. She worked with groups like the Fredrika Bremer Association and the Married Woman's Property Rights Association. These groups worked to give women more rights, especially regarding their own money and property after marriage. As a feminist, she believed in equal rights for everyone. She often spoke out against unfair rules that were different for men and women. This was part of a big public discussion in the 1880s called the Nordic morality debate. She was also a member of a women's group called Nya Idun. From 1888 to 1891, she was the editor of Dagny, a magazine for women's rights. She was especially known for her ideas about books for children.

In 1855, Amanda married Bengt Gustaf Lindgren, who was a vicar. He passed away in 1858. Later, in 1872, she married Petrus Kerfstedt. He was the principal at a school for blind people called Tomteboda. Amanda had two children. Her son, Hellen Lindgren, became a famous literary critic.
