Amy Manson is an actress from Scotland, born on September 9, 1985. She has played many different characters in popular TV shows. You might know her as Alice Guppy in Torchwood or Abby Evans in Casualty. She also played Lizzie Siddal in Desperate Romantics and a vampire named Daisy in Being Human. Later, she took on the role of Medea in Atlantis and even Merida in the fairy tale show Once Upon a Time.

About Amy Manson
Amy grew up in a place called Aberdeenshire in Scotland. She has a sister named Ailsa and a brother named James. Her family is part of a Scottish group called Clan Gunn.
When she was younger, Amy went to a Saturday drama school called Stage Coach. At 17, she moved to London to study acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She even left early to start filming her first movie, Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud, in Romania. Today, she lives in North London.
Amy's Acting Journey
Amy Manson started her film career in the movie Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud. She also appeared in the scary movie Blood Monkey and a short film called Smile Emily.
She has also used her voice for radio shows. These include Lost in Plain Sight, The Summer Walking, and The Dead Hour.
TV Shows and Roles
On television, Amy has played many interesting characters. She was Alice Guppy in two episodes of Torchwood. She also appeared as Abby Evans in nine episodes of Casualty. You might have seen her in guest roles on shows like Doctors, The Bill, and My Family.
In the historical drama Desperate Romantics, Amy played Lizzie Siddal. Lizzie was an important person in the life of artist Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Amy then played Daisy Hannigan-Spiteri, a vampire, in the second season of Being Human. She acted alongside Aidan Turner in both shows.
In 2010, Amy played Ginger Corrigan in Agatha Christie's Marple: The Pale Horse. She also played Fleur Morgan in Outcasts, a science fiction series.
Later, in 2011, Amy was Leah in the third season of Misfits. She also played Emma "Whirly" Tyson in the BBC drama Young James Herriot. She appeared in the Irish drama Raw as well.
More recently, in 2024, she played Rhona Moncrieffe in the BBC drama Rebus. This show is based on the popular Inspector Rebus books by Ian Rankin.
Awards and Recognition
Amy Manson won an award in 2008 for her acting on stage. She received the Best Performance (Female) award at the Critics' Awards for Theatre in Scotland. This was for her role as the Stepdaughter in the play Six Characters in Search of an Author.
