Ana Rita Contreras Sosa (born July 31, 1984), also known as Dominicana Prestigiosa, is a talented woman from the Dominican Republic. She is known for her work in architecture and for competing in beauty pageants.
Ana grew up in Bayaguana, a town in the Monte Plata Province of the Dominican Republic. She first competed in the Miss Dominican Republic 2006 pageant. She represented the Barahona Province and placed 13th in the early rounds. Even though she didn't make it to the top ten, she won a special award called "Miss Communication."
Later, in Miss Dominican Republic 2009, she represented her home, Monte Plata Province. She did very well, finishing as the first runner-up. This means she was the second-place winner.
In 2009, the "Miss Mundo Dominicana" pageant was canceled. This happened because there wasn't enough money or sponsors to hold the event. Because of her strong performance, Ana was chosen to represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss World 2009 competition. She did not place among the winners at Miss World.
Ana is also very smart and hardworking in her studies. She graduated with top honors in Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana de Santo Domingo. This means she was one of the best students in her class. She also studied at a modeling school called "The Femme Elegant." Later, she continued her education, earning a master's degree from Columbia University in New York City.
