Where is Anarnittuq Island?
Anarnittuq Island is found within Cumberland Sound, a large body of water on the eastern side of Baffin Island. Baffin Island itself is one of the biggest islands in the world!
The island sits right where two water passages, Clearwater Fiord and Shark Fiord, meet. It's positioned between Clear Passage Island to its west and Kekertelung Island to its east.

Several other islands are close to Anarnittuq Island. These include the Sanigut Islands, which feature Aupaluktok Island. You can also find Iglunga Island and Nunatak Island in the same area.
Another Island Named Anarnittuq?
It can be a bit confusing, but there's another island that was once called Anarnittuq Island. This island is now known as Maittuq. It's located further south, near a community called Naujaat. This Maittuq island is where Roes Welcome Sound connects with Frozen Strait, close to a spot called Beach Point.
