Anatoli Konstantinovich Isayev (Russian: Анатолий Константинович Исаев; 14 July 1932 – 10 July 2016) was a famous Soviet football player and a respected coach. He was born in Moscow, USSR, and became a true legend in the world of football. Anatoli Isayev was known for his skills as a forward, scoring many goals for his teams.

A Football Star: Anatoli Isayev's Career

Anatoli Isayev started playing football in his youth, joining Salyut Moscow from 1949 to 1951. He quickly showed great talent.

Early Days and Club Success

Isayev began his professional career in 1952 with VVS Moscow. But he became truly famous playing for FC Spartak Moscow from 1953 to 1962. During his time at Spartak, he played 159 games and scored 54 goals. He helped his team win the Soviet Top League four times: in 1953, 1956, 1958, and 1962. He also won the Soviet Cup in 1958. After Spartak, he played for FC Shinnik Yaroslavl until 1964.

Playing for His Country

Anatoli Isayev also played for the USSR national team. He made his first appearance on 21 August 1955 in a friendly match against West Germany. He played 16 games for his country and scored 6 goals. He was part of the team that played in the qualifiers for the 1958 FIFA World Cup.

Winning Gold at the Olympics
