Anderson Andrade Antunes (born on November 15, 1981) is a Brazilian footballer. He plays as a striker for AD Carmelita.

Anderson Andrade's Football Journey

Anderson Andrade has played for many football clubs around the world. He started his professional career in Brazil. He also played for a short time in Mexico.

Playing in Japan

In 2006, Anderson Andrade joined the Japanese club Mito HollyHock. This was for the J2 League season. He quickly became a favorite among fans. He was one of the top scorers in the league. He finished 7th in scoring that year. He also had the best goal-per-shot rate in Japanese professional soccer.

After the 2006 season, he wanted to return to Brazil. But in January 2007, he signed with Sagan Tosu. He did not play much there. So, in June 2007, he moved to Shimizu S-Pulse on loan. This move was not very successful for him.

In 2008, he joined J2 League team Yokohama FC. This move was much better. He scored a goal in about every two games he played.

Return to Brazil and New Adventures

After his time in Japan, Anderson Andrade went back to Brazil in 2009. He joined the team Rio Branco de Andradas.

Later in 2009, an Egyptian club, El Zamalek, announced they had signed him. However, the deal was canceled. Anderson Andrade never played a competitive match for them. It was said he was not in good shape to play.

In September 2009, Anderson moved to Brujas FC in Costa Rica. He did very well there. He scored eight goals in nine league matches.

Playing in South Korea and Malta

Anderson Andrade then moved to K-League club Daegu FC in South Korea. He scored his first goal for them in March. He played eight league matches and three league cup games. After that, he returned to his former club, Brujas FC, during the summer break.

In February 2010, Valletta F.C., a team from Malta, announced he was joining them. He signed a contract until the end of that season.

Back to Costa Rica and Japan

In July 2011, he returned to Costa Rica. He joined C.S. Herediano. He also played for Liga Deportiva Alajuelense in Costa Rica.

In July 2014, he moved back to Japan. He transferred to Roasso Kumamoto. He played for them until 2016.

Anderson Andrade has continued his career in Costa Rica. He played for A.D. Municipal Liberia and is currently with A.D. Carmelita.
