Andover's Story: A Look at Its History

Andover was first planned out in 1886. This means people decided where streets and buildings would go. Later, in 1910, it officially became a town. A railroad worker gave Andover its name. He named it after a town he knew in Vermont, called Andover, Vermont.

Over the years, Andover's population has changed a bit. In 1925, there were 83 people living there. By 1940, the number was 76. The city has grown and shrunk at different times, but it has always been a small community.
