Andover, Missouri facts for kids
Andover is a small place in Harrison County, Missouri, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
Andover is located about six miles north of a town called Blythedale. It's also very close to the border between Missouri and Iowa, just three-quarters of a mile south of it. A big highway called Interstate 35 passes about three miles to the west of Andover.

Andover began to grow in 1873 when a railroad line was built through the area. This made it easier for people and goods to travel to and from Andover.
Before the railroad even arrived, a post office was set up in Andover in 1872. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages for many years. It stayed open until 1943.
In 1925, about 54 people lived in Andover.
