André Hueston Mack is an American expert who knows a lot about wine. He is a sommelier, which means he is trained to suggest the best wines for meals. He is also a winemaker, meaning he makes his own wines.

André Mack's Journey
Before working with food and wine, André Mack worked in finance for two years. He then decided to change careers and started working in restaurants. He began as a dishwasher at Darden Restaurants. Over six years, he learned a lot and became a corporate service trainer.
After that, he worked at The Palm restaurant in San Antonio. He then became the first sommelier at Bohanan's, also in San Antonio. Later, he worked at two very famous restaurants owned by Thomas Keller: The French Laundry in Yountville, California, and Per Se in New York, New York.
Starting His Own Wine Company
In 2007, André Mack started his own company called Maison Noir. It used to be known as Mouton Noir. He leases 13 different vineyards in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. This area is famous for growing grapes. He makes wine from these grapes and gives them fun names inspired by popular culture.
In 2020, Mack opened a new place called & Sons in Brooklyn, New York. It is a special bar where people can enjoy wine and different kinds of ham.

Awards and Achievements
André Mack has won several awards for his skills. In 2003, he won the Young Sommeliers Competition held by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. This competition tests how much young sommeliers know about wine. In 2007, he received The Network Journal's 40-Under-Forty Achievement Award. This award recognizes successful people under the age of 40.
