Andrea Lucchetta, born on November 25, 1962, is a famous Italian former volleyball player. He played in three Olympic Games. He is well-known for winning a World Championship with the Italian national volleyball team in 1990. Andrea was born in Treviso, Italy. People often called him "Crazy Lucky" because of his unique hairstyle.
Standing at 199 centimeters (about 6 feet 6 inches) tall, Lucchetta played as a middle blocker or hitter. He started playing in Italy's top volleyball league in 1982. His first team was Panini Modena, where he stayed until 1990. During his time there, he helped the team win five Italian titles and one European Champions Cup.
Andrea Lucchetta played 292 matches for the Italian national team. He won a World Championship in 1990 and a European Championship in 1989. He also helped Italy win three World League titles from 1990 to 1992. In 1990, he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the World Championship.
Besides his sports career, Lucchetta also created an Italian animated TV series called Spike Team.
