Andrew Boardman was born in Lancashire, England, around the year 1550. He began his studies at St John's College, Cambridge in 1568. He was a very dedicated student, earning several degrees:
- He received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in 1572.

Church Work and Moves
In 1582, Andrew Boardman became the minister at St. Mary's Church, Bury St. Edmunds. He lived in a house near the church steeple.
Around 1586, he moved to a different church role near Warwick. By 1591, he was appointed the vicar of St Mary's Church, Warwick. This was an important position in the local church community.
Disagreements and Writings
While in Warwick, Boardman had a disagreement with Thomas Cartwright, another important religious figure. This led to Boardman writing a book called The Fan of the Faithful to tries the Truth in Controversies.
In 1595, Andrew Boardman left his position at St Mary's Church in Warwick. Not much is known about what he did after this time. Some people thought he might have written some poems that appeared in a music book by Thomas Morley in 1597, but experts today think this is unlikely.
