Andriy Leonidovych Husin (Ukrainian: Андрій Леонідович Гусін) was a famous Ukrainian football player and coach. He was born on December 11, 1972, and sadly passed away on September 17, 2014. Andriy was known for being a strong defensive midfielder, a player who helps protect the team's goal.
He played for the Ukrainian national team many times. He was a key part of their journey to the 2006 FIFA World Cup, where Ukraine did very well. After his playing career, he became a football coach for different clubs, including the well-known Dynamo Kyiv. Andriy Husin died in a motorcycle accident when he was 41 years old.

Playing Career
Dynamo Kyiv Success
Andriy Husin was a very important player for Dynamo Kyiv. He helped the team reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League 1998–99 season, which is a big achievement in European football. He continued to be a key player for Dynamo Kyiv for many years.
Moving to Russia
After Ukraine qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Husin decided to leave Dynamo Kyiv. He joined a Russian team called FC Krylia Sovetov Samara and became their captain. He wanted to focus more on playing for his country's national team.
In 2007, Husin stopped playing for Krylia Sovetov. He then joined the coaching staff at another Russian club, FC Saturn Moscow Oblast. However, in 2008, he decided to play football again. Later, he left the club due to some disagreements with the new coach.
Short Time at FC Khimki
In 2009, Andriy Husin signed with the Russian club FC Khimki. But he didn't play any official games for them. He got two injuries quickly and decided he wasn't ready to play at the top level of the Russian league at that time.
International Career
Andriy Husin had a very successful 13-year career playing for the Ukrainian national team. After the 2006 FIFA World Cup, he first announced he would stop playing for his country. He was very proud of Ukraine reaching the quarter-finals in their first World Cup appearance, and he played a big part in that success.
However, after talking with his teammates, Husin decided to continue playing for Ukraine for a while longer.
Personal Life
Andriy Husin was married and had three children. He passed away in a motorcycle accident in Kyiv on September 17, 2014.
