Andrés Pajares Martín (born April 6, 1940) is a famous Spanish actor, director, writer, and comedian. He is known for his work in movies, television, and theater.
Pajares was born in Madrid, Spain. He began his career as a comedian in 1968. At first, he performed comedy shows and also acted in plays. He even appeared as an extra in a few movies in the late 1960s. By the end of the 1970s, he had become a very popular star in Spain.
He is well-known for his partnership with actor Fernando Esteso. Together, they made eleven popular comedy movies between 1979 and 1984, which were directed by Mariano Ozores. Pajares has acted in more than 40 films during his long career.
Pajares also showed his talent as a serious actor. For his role in the movie ¡Ay Carmela!, he won a Goya Award for Best Actor, which is one of Spain's most important film awards.
On television, he is remembered for the hit series ¡Ay, Señor, Señor!, which was on TV in 1994 and 1995. Besides acting, he has also directed and written scripts for movies. Throughout his career, he has received many awards for his work in entertainment.
