Colorado Court: Green Housing
Angela Brooks helped design the Colorado Court building in Santa Monica. This building was special because it was the first large apartment complex in the USA to get a LEED certification. This means it was built using green, eco-friendly methods.
The Colorado Court has 46 apartments. It was also the first big residential building in the United States to combine advanced sustainability with housing for people with lower incomes. The project was designed to create a sense of community for its residents.
