Angela Paton (January 11, 1930 – May 26, 2016) was an American actress and theater director. She was born in Brooklyn, New York. Angela was known for her many roles in movies and TV shows. She also helped start a theater company.

She played Mrs. Lancaster, the innkeeper, in the movie Groundhog Day (1993). She also appeared as Grandma in American Wedding (2003).

Angela Paton was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1930. People called her a "natural comic." She was also known as one of the "legends of the local stage" in San Francisco. She was an important actress in the American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.).

In the early 1970s, Angela and her husband started their own theater company. It was called the Berkeley Stage Company. She acted in 38 films and more than 50 TV shows during her career.

Angela Paton lived in Los Angeles. Her husband was Bob Goldsby. He was a professor at UC Berkeley. He was also a stage director for A.C.T. Bob Goldsby was the first director of A.C.T.'s training program.

Angela Paton passed away on May 26, 2016. She died from a heart attack.
