Angela Wynter is a talented actress born on July 14, 1957. She is from Kingston, Jamaica. Angela is best known for playing Yolande Trueman in the popular BBC TV show EastEnders. She was on the show from 2003 to 2008, came back for a visit in 2017, and then returned again in 2023. In 2021, she also joined another BBC show called Doctors for a few months, playing a character named Makeda Sylvester.

Early Life and Acting Journey

Angela Wynter was born in Kingston, Jamaica. Later, she moved to the United Kingdom and settled in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Before becoming a full-time actress, Angela was part of a music band called View From The Hill in the 1980s.

Her very first acting role was in a play called Meetings. In this play, she acted alongside Rudolph Walker. Years later, Rudolph Walker would play her husband on screen in EastEnders. Angela also received praise for her role as Mout in a play called To Rahtid in 1996.

In 2003, Angela Wynter joined the cast of the BBC soap opera EastEnders. She played the character of Yolande Trueman. Angela based Yolande's personality on her own sister, Merlene, who had passed away. She left the show in 2008. However, fans were excited when she made a special guest appearance in 2017. Angela then returned to EastEnders full-time in 2023.
