Ankita Lokhande Jain (born Tanuja Lokhande; 19 December 1984) is an Indian actress. She is famous for her work in Hindi films and television shows. She first started acting as Archana in the TV show Pavitra Rishta (2009-2014). She has won several awards, including 3 Gold Awards. Ankita has also acted in movies like Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019) and Baaghi 3 (2020). In 2023, she was a contestant on the reality show Bigg Boss 17.

Early Life and Start
Ankita Lokhande was born as Tanuja Lokhande on 19 December 1984 in Indore, India. She grew up in a Marathi family. Her father, Shashikant Lokhande, and her mother, Vandana Phadnis Lokhande, raised her. Her mother was a teacher. Ankita has two brothers, Sooraj and Arun, and a sister named Jyoti.
When she was younger, Ankita was a champion in badminton. After finishing her studies, she moved to Mumbai in 2005. She wanted to become an actress.
Acting Career
Becoming a Star (2009–2018)
Ankita first appeared on a talent show called India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj (2007–09). After that, she got her big break. She landed the main role of Archana Deshmukh in Ekta Kapoor's popular TV show Pavitra Rishta. She played Archana from 2009 to 2014.
In 2013, the story of Pavitra Rishta moved forward in time. Ankita then also played Archana's granddaughter, Ankita Karmarkar. She continued in this role until the show ended in 2014.
Ankita also took part in dance and comedy shows. She was on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4, a dance reality show, where she finished in 5th place. She also appeared on Comedy Circus ka Naya Daur.
After a break from acting, there were rumors that Ankita would act in movies. She was considered for a role in Padmaavat (2018). However, she decided not to do the film at that time.
Moving to Films (2019–2022)
In 2018, Ankita announced her first movie role. She played Jhalkaribai in the historical drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. This film was about the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai, a brave queen. The movie came out in 2019 and was a success. Critics praised Ankita's performance as the warrior Jhalkaribai.
Her next film was Baaghi 3 in 2020. This was an action movie where she played the older sister of Shraddha Kapoor's character. The film was released just before the COVID-19 pandemic caused theaters to close.
From 2021 to 2022, Ankita returned to her famous role as Archana Deshmukh. She starred in the web series Pavitra Rishta: It's Never Too Late. Fans loved her performance, saying the role was perfect for her. In 2022, Ankita and her husband, Vicky Jain, won the TV show Smart Jodi.
Recent Work (2023-present)
In 2023, Ankita acted in the film The Last Coffee. She played a woman going through a divorce. Her acting in emotional scenes was highly praised.
From 2023 to 2024, Ankita was a contestant on the popular reality TV show Bigg Boss 17. She joined the show with her husband, Vicky Jain. Ankita finished as the 3rd runner-up in the competition.
In 2024, Ankita appeared in the movie Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. She played Yamunabai Savarkar, the wife of the main character.
Personal Life
Ankita Lokhande dated actor Sushant Singh Rajput, her co-star from Pavitra Rishta. They started dating in 2010. They later parted ways in 2016.
In 2019, Ankita shared that she was in a relationship with Vikas Jain, a businessman. Ankita and Vikas Jain got married on 14 December 2021. They had a traditional ceremony in Mumbai.
