Anna Larsson (nicknamed Nora-Anna) was a famous Swedish athlete. She was born on January 2, 1922, and passed away on June 14, 2003. Anna was great at two sports: track and field athletics (like running) and cross-country skiing.
She competed for a club called IFK Nora in track and field. Between 1944 and 1945, Anna set several new world records in women's running. - August 30, 1945 – Just a few days later, she broke the 800-meter record again! This time, she ran it in an incredible 2 minutes and 13.8 seconds. This record-breaking run took place at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium.
- September 5, 1945 – She also set a record for 880 yards (which is a bit longer than 800 meters). Her time was 2 minutes and 15.8 seconds, also at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium.
