Anne Pressly (born August 28, 1982 – died October 25, 2008) was an American news anchor. She worked for KATV Channel 7 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Anne was born in Beaufort, South Carolina and grew up in Greenville. She moved to Little Rock during high school. Sadly, she passed away in 2008 after an attack at her home.

About Anne Pressly
After finishing college at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, Anne Pressly started working at KATV in May 2004. She helped produce the show Good Morning Arkansas. She also reported for MidDay Arkansas and Saturday Daybreak. In November 2004, she became a full-time reporter.

On October 20, 2008, Anne Pressly was found at her home in Little Rock. Her mother, Patricia Cannady, found her after Anne did not answer her wake-up call. Anne had serious injuries. Police believed it was a robbery because her laptop and handbag were missing.
Investigation
Police thought the attack was a robbery. They did not believe Anne was specifically targeted. Her credit card was used at a gas station later that day. Anne had two cocker spaniel dogs. It was thought that the attacker might have entered her home through a dog door.
Hospital Stay and Passing
Anne was taken to St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center. She fought for her life but sadly passed away five days later, on October 25, 2008. Her family shared a statement. They expressed their deep sadness and thanked everyone for their prayers and support.
Remembering Anne
A memorial service for Anne was held on October 30, 2008. KATV, her workplace, started a fund to help find information about her case. This fund grew to over $50,000. Her family asked that people donate to this fund or to a scholarship fund created in her name. Rhodes College, Anne's college, also wanted to honor her memory. They considered a memorial or a scholarship.
Finding the Person Responsible
On November 26, 2008, police arrested Curtis Lavelle Vance for Anne Pressly's murder. On November 11, 2009, Vance was found guilty of serious charges. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Police believed it was a random crime. They found no link between Anne's job and the attack. DNA evidence showed that Vance was the attacker. The Arkansas Supreme Court upheld Vance's conviction on June 2, 2011.
