The Anne River is a small river found in the Canterbury area of New Zealand. It starts near a place called the Anne Saddle. The river then flows for about 6 kilometers (or 3.7 miles). It first goes east, then turns north.

The Anne River eventually joins another river called the Henry River. The Henry River then flows into the larger Waiau River.

Exploring the Anne River

The Anne River is a special spot for outdoor adventures. A well-known walking path, the St James Walkway, follows the river's entire length. This makes it a great place for people who enjoy tramping, which is like hiking.

Anne Huts

Near where the Anne River meets the Henry River, you'll find the Anne Huts. These huts are simple shelters. They are often used by trampers who are exploring the St James Walkway. They provide a place to rest during their journey.
