Where is Anson?
Anson is located in the northern part of Clark County, Missouri. You can find it along Missouri Route 81, which is a main road. It's about two miles (around 3.2 kilometers) south of the border between Missouri and Iowa.
Nearby towns include Kahoka, which is about ten miles (16 kilometers) south on Route 81. Another place, Croton, Iowa, is about four miles (6.4 kilometers) to the east, across the Des Moines River. A stream called Cedar Creek also flows past the north and east sides of Anson.

Anson once had its own post office. This post office opened in 1872, helping people in the area send and receive their mail. However, it closed down in 1904. It's not fully known where the name "Anson" came from.
