Antwan Afram, known by his stage name Ant Wan, is a Swedish rapper and songwriter. He was born on January 1, 1998. After releasing his first song in 2016, he quickly became very successful in the Swedish music scene.
Antwan made a few songs in 2017. In 2018, he changed his artist name to Ant Wan. His first collection of songs, called an Extended Play (EP), was titled Wow. It came out in 2019. This EP included popular songs like "Wow", "Kall", "Rikare", "Fendi", and "Boo". Each of these songs became very popular in Sweden.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Antwan Afram was born on New Year's Day in 1998. His family is Assyrian and originally from Syria. He grew up in an area called Råby in Västerås, Sweden. He started releasing his first songs in 2016. His very first song was named Jett on Jett. At first, he used the name of his neighborhood, Råby, as his artist name. However, he later changed it to Ant Wan in 2018.
In 2018, Antwan released the song "Sativa". This song reached number 67 on the Swedish music charts and stayed there for 14 weeks. In 2019, he released his first EP, Wow. This EP had five songs. One song, "Kall", reached number two on the charts. This helped the Wow EP get to the top spot, which started his journey to fame. The next year, he released his first full album, 724. This album reached second place on the charts. The main song from the album, also called "724", became very popular and was certified platinum.
Antwan used to have a certain image in his music and public appearances. However, he later decided to change this. Since then, he has preferred to keep a more private life.
Music Career Highlights
In 2022, Antwan worked with another Swedish rapper, Yung Lean. They made a song together called "Paradise Lost". The music video for this song came out in May 2022. It showed Antwan and Lean in a wooden chapel and a dimly lit underground garage.
In 2023, Antwan performed his very first concert in a large arena. This concert was at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. All the tickets for this show sold out on the very first day they went on sale. The concert was put together with an online magazine called DOPEST and a German concert company, FKP Scorpio.
In early 2024, Antwan received some big awards at the Swedish P3 Gold Awards. He was named "Artist of the Year". He also won the "Guldmicken" award for Best Live Artist. Even though he won these awards, Antwan was not at the ceremony in person.
Later in 2024, Antwan made headlines for another sold-out concert. This time, he performed at the Tele2 arena in Stockholm. This concert set a new record for attendance with 40,899 people. This number broke the previous record held by Madonna since 2015. Antwan made history as the first Swedish hip-hop artist to have his own concert in that arena. He thanked everyone at the concert, saying, "For me, you are not fans, for me, you are my family. Whatever happens after the concert, if it ends, I will always love you."
Grammy Awards Discussion
In late 2022, Antwan was nominated for the Swedish Grammis awards. He shared his thoughts on Instagram, wondering why he wasn't nominated in more categories. He later accepted his nominations from the P3 awards.
Album Temporarily Removed
In early 2024, Antwan's album Leylas World was briefly taken off Spotify. This happened because of a copyright claim on one of his songs, "Jag and Du". The album was later put back on the music platform.
Retirement from Music
On May 16, 2025, Antwan announced that he would be retiring from making music and being an artist. He wrote on his Instagram page, "I will never forget you and what we have achieved together, but it is time for me to live my life away from the cameras and spotlight."
Antwan performed at the 2025 edition of Sthlm (Stockholm) Fields on June 28th. This was his last solo performance. He is scheduled to perform his last concert ever at the Dream Park Festival in Malmö on August 1, 2025.
