Anthony Goldwire, born on September 6, 1971, is a former professional basketball player and coach from the United States. He played for teams in the NBA and other leagues around the world. Anthony was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. He played college basketball at the University of Houston. The Phoenix Suns picked him in the second round of the 1994 NBA draft.

Playing Career Highlights
Anthony Goldwire had a long and successful career playing basketball. He was known for his skills as a Point guard. He played for many different teams both in the NBA and in other leagues.
Starting in the CBA
Goldwire began his professional career with the Yakima Sun Kings. This team was part of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). He joined them during the 1994–95 season. In his first year, he was named to the All-Rookie Second Team. This means he was one of the best new players in the league.
The next season, 1995–96, he continued to play well for the Sun Kings. He was even named to the All-CBA First Team. This showed he was one of the top players in the entire league.
Return to the Sun Kings
Anthony Goldwire returned to the Yakima Sun Kings for the 2002–03 season. He continued to be a star player. In 2004, he was again named to the All-CBA First Team.
His biggest success with the Sun Kings came in 2006. He helped lead the team to win a CBA championship! For his amazing performance, he was named the Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP). He also won the league's Most Valuable Player award for the season. Plus, he was once again on the All-CBA First Team.
Playing Around the World
Besides the CBA and NBA, Goldwire also played for teams in other countries. For example, he played for Panellinios in the Greek Basket League during the 2006–07 season. In 2009, he joined a Spanish team called CB Girona.
Coaching Career
After his playing days, Anthony Goldwire became a basketball coach. In July 2010, he joined the Phoenix Suns' coaching staff for the NBA Summer League. This was a great way to start his coaching journey.
Later, he became an assistant coach for the NBA team, the Milwaukee Bucks. He helped coach the team from 2010 to 2013. From 2014 to 2016, he was also an assistant coach for the Erie BayHawks.
Personal Life
Anthony Goldwire has a cousin named Leemire Goldwire. Leemire also became a professional basketball player, following in Anthony's footsteps.
