Anthony Smith is an American professional basketball player. He was born on March 16, 1997. Anthony plays as a power forward for KK Podgorica in the Prva A Liga. Before becoming a professional, he played college basketball for Barton Community College and Murray State.

High School Basketball Journey
Anthony Smith went to Potomac High School. During his junior year, he helped his team achieve a great record of 23 wins and 5 losses. They even won the Maryland 2A state championship! In December 2015, Anthony had a knee injury while playing in a game.
College Basketball Career
Anthony played college basketball for two different schools.
Playing at Barton Community College
He started his college career at Barton Community College. In his second year there, he was a key player. He scored about 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in each game. His strong play helped his team finish with 25 wins and 8 losses. Anthony was recognized as one of the best players in his college conference and region. He even scored a career-high 32 points and got 11 rebounds in one game against Pratt Community College.
Time at Murray State
In April 2017, Anthony decided to join Murray State. As a junior, he averaged about 4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. In the 2018–19 season, he played five games, averaging 7.6 points and 5.0 rebounds. However, an ankle injury kept him from playing the rest of that season. In July 2019, he was allowed to play an extra year of college basketball. On January 18, 2020, he had an amazing game, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a win against Southeast Missouri State. In his final year, Anthony averaged 9.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
Professional Basketball Career
Anthony Smith began his professional basketball journey in 2020.
Early Professional Teams
On September 17, 2020, Anthony signed his first professional contract. He joined Borac Čačak, a team in the Basketball League of Serbia. He averaged about 7 points and almost 4 rebounds per game there. On August 15, 2021, Anthony moved to a new team, Imortal Basket, which plays in the Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol in Portugal.
Recent Teams and Current Club
Since then, Anthony has played for several teams around the world. In 2022, he played for Chartres Métropole. In 2023, he played for Ostioneros de Guaymas and Halcones Rojos Veracruz. He also played for IHC Apes from 2023 to 2024. In 2024, he returned to Ostioneros de Guaymas for a short time. Currently, since 2024, Anthony Smith plays for KK Podgorica in the Prva A Liga.
