Antonella Clerici (born December 6, 1963) is a famous Italian television host and journalist. She is well-known for her friendly personality and for hosting many popular TV shows.
Antonella was the fourth woman ever to host the important Sanremo Music Festival in 2010. Other famous women who hosted before her include Loretta Goggi, Raffaella Carrà, and Simona Ventura.

About Antonella Clerici
Antonella studied law at the University of Milan. She started her TV career in 1985 as an announcer for Telereporter.
In 1987, she moved to Rai 2, a big Italian TV channel. There, she hosted shows like Semaforo giallo and Oggi sport. She also became known for sports programs such as Dribbling and Domenica Sprint.
Later, she hosted Forza Italia on Odeon TV with Fabio Fazio. In 1995, she returned to Rai 2 for another football show called Telegoal.
From 1996 to 1998, Antonella was one of the hosts of Unomattina. This is a popular daily morning show on Rai 1. She also covered the 1998 FIFA World Cup with a special program.
In 1999, she worked for Mediaset, another TV company. She hosted Ma quanto costa? and A tu per tu.
Return to RAI and Cooking Shows
In 2000, Antonella came back to RAI. She started hosting La prova del cuoco, which is the Italian version of a cooking show called Ready Steady Cook. This show became very successful.
She hosted La prova del cuoco until 2008. She took a break to have her first child. She returned to host the show again in 2011.
Over the years, Antonella hosted many other shows for Rai 1. These included Domenica in, Il ristorante, Il treno dei desideri, and Affari tuoi. She also hosted Ti lascio una canzone, a show for young singers.
Sanremo Music Festival Host
In 2005, Antonella co-hosted the Sanremo Music Festival 2005 with Paolo Bonolis. This is Italy's most famous song contest.
She returned to host the festival by herself in 2010. This was a big achievement for her.
In March 2010, Antonella released her first music CD. It featured songs from her TV shows. She has also written several cookbooks.
After La prova del cuoco ended, she started a new cooking show. It is called È sempre mezzogiorno.
In 2025, she co-hosted the first night of the Sanremo Music Festival 2025. She hosted alongside Carlo Conti and Gerry Scotti.

Antonella Clerici is a Roman Catholic. She is devoted to blessed Carlo Acutis. She has one child, a daughter named Maëlle Martens, born in 2009.
