Antonello Cuccureddu (born October 4, 1949) is a famous Italian association football coach and former player. He mostly played as a defender. His last coaching job was with the Grosseto team in 2014.

Antonello Cuccureddu was a strong central defender. He played for several clubs during his career. He started with Brescia from 1968 to 1969.

Juventus Success: Winning Titles

Cuccureddu spent most of his playing career with Juventus. He was with them from 1969 to 1981. During his time at Juventus, he helped the team win six Serie A titles. Serie A is the top football league in Italy.

He was quite good at scoring goals for a defender. He had a very powerful long-distance shot. In the 1973–74 season, he scored 12 goals. This was a lot for a defender, especially since he played as a midfielder that season.

Cuccureddu's Famous Goal for Juventus

One of his most famous goals happened in the 1972–73 Serie A season. Juventus was playing A.S. Roma in the last match. Cuccureddu scored a goal that helped Juventus win 2–1. This victory meant Juventus won their 15th Italian league title. They finished just one point ahead of A.C. Milan.

After Juventus, he played for Fiorentina from 1981 to 1983.

Antonello Cuccureddu also played for the Italy national football team. He played in 13 international matches, which are called "caps."

He was part of the Italian team in the 1978 FIFA World Cup. He played in five games during that tournament. This included a match against Argentina, which Italy won 1–0. He also played in the third-place match against Brazil, which Italy lost 2–1.

In the 2006–07 season, he coached Grosseto. He led them to win their Serie C1 league. This was a historic moment for Grosseto, as it was their first-ever promotion to Serie B.

He later coached other teams like Perugia and Pescara. In 2013, he returned to coach Grosseto again, but he left in January 2014.
