Antoni Morell's Career
Antoni Morell Mora had a long and interesting career. He worked in different roles for the government of Andorra.
Early Government Roles
From 1972 to 1973, he was an advisor for education to the General Council. This is like Andorra's parliament. He worked with Lídia Armengol i Vila during this time.
After that, until 1981, he was the Secretary of Sindicatura General. This was an important role in the government.
Working for the Andorran Government
From 1981 to 1984, Antoni Morell became the General Secretary. He worked for the very first Andorran Government. This was a key time for Andorra as it was forming its first official government.
Lawyer and Ambassador
After his government roles, Antoni Morell worked as a private lawyer. He did this from 1984 to 2004.
Later, from 2005 to 2010, he became an ambassador. An ambassador is a top diplomat who represents their country in another place. Antoni Morell represented Andorra to the Holy See. The Holy See is the government of the Vatican City, which is the smallest independent state in the world and the home of the Pope.

Antoni Morell was also a talented writer. He often wrote for different magazines. He was even the President of the Association of Writers of the Principality of Andorra.

Antoni Morell's Personal Life
Antoni Morell Mora was born in Barcelona, Spain. His father was a taxi driver from a town called Alpicat. His mother was a housekeeper who had family in Andorra.
Family and Education
His family later moved from Spain to Andorra. Antoni also had an older sister named Montserrat Morell Mora.
He first studied at the Conciliar Seminary of Barcelona. This is a place where people study to become priests. However, he decided not to become a deacon (a type of church leader). Instead, he chose to study other subjects.
He went on to study history at the Universidad de Zaragoza in 1969. Later, in 1976, he studied law at the Universitat de Barcelona.
