Antonia Clara Iacobescu (born on April 12, 1989), known simply as Antonia, is a famous Romanian singer. One of her songs, "Rebound," became popular across America, Africa, and Asia.

Early Life

Antonia was born in Bucharest, Romania. When she was five years old, her family moved to the United States. She grew up in Utah and started singing at the age of ten. American culture greatly influenced her music style.

She finished high school in Las Vegas, Nevada. During this time, she also started a career in modeling. She took part in many photoshoots for different catalogs. Later, in 2013, Antonia even launched her own clothing line called MOJA. When she was 18, Antonia and her family moved back to Romania.

In 2009, Antonia met Romanian music producer Tom Boxer. A friend introduced them after hearing Antonia sing. Together, Antonia and Tom created their first song, "Roses on Fire." They also made a music video for the song.

In 2011, Antonia released a song called "Pleacă" with the band Vunk. In the summer of 2012, she released "I Got You" and "Jameia." "Jameia" became very popular, reaching fifth place in Romania. After her first child was born, Antonia returned to music as a solo artist. She released "Marionette," which was written by the famous Dutch producer Afrojack.

In 2014, Antonia became a judge on the TV show Kids Sing. This show was broadcast on Kanal D. On April 17, 2015, Antonia released her first album, This Is Antonia. It was released through the Romanian record label Roton. The album has 12 songs and was available both as a CD and for digital download.

In 2017, Antonia and Alex Velea were contestants on the TV show Look Who's Dancing on Pro TV. Also in 2017 and 2018, she was a judge on the TV show The Four on Antena 1. Antonia was also chosen to be the Romanian voice of Janette in the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.

Personal Life

Antonia married Italian businessman Vincenzo Castellano in 2011. They have a daughter together named Maya Rosario Castellano, who was born in 2010. Antonia and Vincenzo separated in 2013, and their divorce was finalized in 2020.

In 2013, Antonia started a relationship with Romanian singer Alex Velea. They have two sons: Dominic, born in 2014, and Akim, born in 2016. Antonia and Alex Velea announced their engagement in July 2021.
