Antonio Burks (born May 30, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. He was born in Texarkana, Arkansas. Standing at 6 feet 5 inches tall, Burks was a talented player who could play both the shooting guard and small forward positions.
After his basketball career, Burks became a coach and an assistant principal for the Rice Independent School District in Rice, Texas. He now helps guide students both on and off the court.

College Basketball Career
Burks started his journey at Arkansas High School. He then played basketball at three different colleges: Jacksonville College, Moberly Area Community College, and finally Stephen F. Austin State University.
One of his most amazing games in college was on February 25, 2004. While playing for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks, Burks had an incredible performance. He scored 35 points, which included seven 3-point shots, and grabbed 12 rebounds to help his team win 63–60 against Lamar University.

Professional Career: A Worldwide Journey
Burks's professional career took him to different parts of the world. He was the very first player ever signed by the Vermont Frost Heaves, an American team. He also played professionally in Norway.
Later, he played in Japan for teams like the Niigata Albirex BB and the Akita Northern Happinets. His career ended in Canada, where he played for the Saint John Mill Rats in the National Basketball League of Canada. He officially joined the Mill Rats on November 27, 2011.
