Antonio González Flores (born November 14, 1961 – died May 30, 1995) was a Spanish singer, songwriter, and actor. He was known for his unique pop rock style. His songs often shared stories about city life, love, and feelings.

Antonio's music mixed different styles like rock, pop, and even flamenco. Besides singing, he also acted in TV shows and movies. One of his films was Blood and Sand (1989), where he acted alongside Sharon Stone.

Family Life

Antonio came from a very famous family of artists in Spain. His father was Antonio González, known as El Pescaílla. He was one of the people who helped create Catalan Rumba music.

Antonio's mother was the legendary singer and actress Lola Flores, often called La Faraona. His sisters, Lolita Flores and Rosario Flores, are also well-known singers and actresses. Antonio had a daughter named Alba Flores, who is also an actress today.

Music Career

Antonio Flores released his first album, Antonio, in 1980. It included a popular song called "No dudaría." However, this album and his next two, Al caer el sol (1984) and Gran Vía (1988), did not become big hits.

Even though his early albums were not very successful, Antonio kept making music. He wrote many songs for his sister's album De ley (1992), which was very popular. This encouraged him to continue his own music career.

In 1994, he performed with famous singer Ana Belén on her "Mucho más que dos" tour. He sang "Sólo le pido a Dios" with her. Antonio finally found great success with his last album, Cosas mías, released in 1995.

Later Years and Legacy

Antonio Flores passed away on May 30, 1995. This happened shortly after his mother, Lola Flores, also died.

After Antonio's death, his music became even more popular. Many tributes and special re-releases of his work have been made. In 2005, ten years after he passed away, Antonio was given a special diamond award. This award was for selling over one million copies of his albums. His daughter, Alba Flores, accepted the award for him.
