Antonio Flores de Lemus was born in Jaén, a city in Spain. He studied Law at two universities: Granada and Oviedo.
After finishing his studies, he became a university professor. He taught Political Economy, which is the study of how governments and economies work together. He taught at the University of Barcelona starting in 1904. Later, in 1920, he taught at the University of Madrid.
Besides teaching, Antonio Flores de Lemus also worked for the government. He held many different jobs within the Ministry of Property. This ministry was in charge of managing government-owned land and other assets.
As an economist, he spent a lot of time studying the Spanish economy. He wrote several books and papers about topics like farming and how the economy should be managed.
