Antony Daniel Costa, born on June 23, 1981, is an English singer and songwriter. He is most famous for being a member of the popular boy band called Blue.

Early Life and Background
Antony Costa grew up in Edgware, North London. He went to Hendon School in Barnet. Antony has a mixed background, being half-Greek and half-Jewish. Before returning to England, he also attended the American Academy school in Larnaca. He has a sister named Natalie and a brother named Louis. Louis appeared on The X Factor in 2011.
Music Career and TV Shows
Antony Costa started his career with some early TV roles. He was a student in a sitcom called Chalk. He also appeared in the BBC children's drama Grange Hill.
2000–2005: Time with Blue
In early 2000, Antony Costa and Duncan James helped create the group Blue. They convinced Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe to join them. Blue quickly became very successful in the United Kingdom and many other countries. Their music mixed R&B with pop.
Blue's first song, "All Rise", came out in May 2001. It reached number 4 on the UK music charts. Their next song, "Too Close", was released in August 2001 and hit number 1. They had another number one hit in November with the song "If You Come Back".
Their first album, All Rise, was released for Christmas and also reached number one. It sold over 1.8 million copies in the UK. The last song from that album, "Fly By II", reached number six in March 2002.
Blue's second album, One Love, came out in October 2002. It went straight to number 1 on the UK album charts. Three songs from this album were released as singles. These included "One Love", "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" (which featured Elton John), and "U Make Me Wanna".
Their third album, Guilty, was released in autumn 2003. It also reached number 1 on the UK album charts. This album had four singles, including the title track "Guilty". Other songs included "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours" (with Stevie Wonder and Angie Stone), "Breathe Easy", and "Bubblin'".
After these albums, Blue released a "Best of" album in 2005. This album was mainly for other countries and did not do well in sales. It was not officially released in the UK.
2006–2010: Solo Work and Stage Shows
In 2005, Antony Costa was a contestant on the TV show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. He left the show after 14 days.
He released his first solo song, "Do You Ever Think of Me", in February 2006. It reached number 19 on the UK music charts. Antony also tried to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. He entered the show Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up with his song "It's a Beautiful Thing", but he did not win.
Antony's first solo album, Heart Full of Soul, was released in Japan in July 2006.
From 2006 to 2007, Antony played the main role of Mickey Johnstone in the musical Blood Brothers in London. He then toured the UK in the musical Boogie Nights. In 2008, Antony went on his first solo tour around the UK, performing songs from his album. He also modeled for Giorgio Armani in late 2008.
Antony appeared on the BBC pop quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks twice. In 2009 and 2010, he played Jack in the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk in Ipswich. He also toured in a musical called Popstar: The Musical. In 2010, Antony took part in a celebrity version of the TV show Total Wipeout.
2011–Present: Blue's Return
In 2011, Blue represented the United Kingdom at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Germany. Their song was "I Can", and they finished in 11th place.
Blue released their fourth album, Roulette, in January 2013. The first song from it was "Hurt Lovers".
In February 2013, Blue joined The Big Reunion. This TV show brought back six famous groups from the past for a special concert. Other groups included Liberty X and Atomic Kitten. Blue then toured the UK and Ireland with these groups. In March 2013, Blue announced their own headlining tour, which was their first in almost ten years.
In April 2016, Antony joined the cast of the musical Save The Last Dance For Me. He played the part of Milton and toured the UK until October 2016.
In November 2021, Blue announced an arena tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Atomic Kitten was confirmed to support them on this tour. The group also shared that they were recording new music.
On April 11, 2022, Blue announced their sixth album, Heart & Soul, would be released in September 2022. They later shared the song list and released the first single, "Haven't Found You Yet". In June 2022, they released another song, "Dance with Me", which is a cover of a song by the group 112.
