Apartadó is a lively town in Colombia, located in the Antioquia Department. It's part of a special area called Urabá.
Its name, Apartadó, means "river of plantains" in the language of the local native people. You can find Apartadó close to the Atlantic Ocean, right by the beautiful Gulf of Urabá.
The town's economy mainly relies on farming. They grow lots of bananas, plantains, corn, and cassava. People also raise livestock and work with wood and cocoa.
Apartadó is divided into 48 neighborhoods. It is also home to the best high school in the Urabá region. In 2020, about 127,744 people lived in Apartadó.

Getting Around Apartadó
Apartadó has its own airport, called Antonio Roldán Betancourt Airport. This airport makes it easy for people to travel to and from the city. Three different airlines offer flights there.
