Apatheism facts for kids
Apatheism is a word made by combining "apathy" and "theism". It describes an attitude where someone simply doesn't care about whether God(s) exist or not. It's not a belief system, but more like a feeling of indifference.
An apatheist is a person who isn't interested in agreeing or disagreeing with ideas about gods. They don't say gods don't exist, but they might feel that the question of their existence isn't important to them.
What is Apatheism?
Apatheism comes from two words:
- Apathy: This means a lack of interest or enthusiasm.
- Theism: This refers to the belief in a god or gods.
So, apatheism is about not being concerned with the idea of gods. It's different from other ideas like atheism (not believing in gods) or agnosticism (thinking we can't know if gods exist).

Apatheism is not a belief itself. It's more about a person's attitude or approach.
