Arcadia Lake is a beautiful lake located in Manistee County, Michigan, in the United States. It used to be known by another name, Bar Lake. This lake is special because it sits right next to the much larger Lake Michigan.

Arcadia Lake is separated from Lake Michigan by a natural barrier called a sand bar. A sand bar is like a long, narrow strip of sand that forms in the water. Even though they are separated, the two lakes are connected! A special channel, about 1,100 feet (335 meters) long, was dug to link Arcadia Lake with Lake Michigan. This channel allows boats and fish to travel between the two lakes.
