Ardon Bess is a Canadian actor born in 1941. He is well-known for his roles in Canadian television and films. One of his most famous parts was playing Maurice Ruddick in a Heritage Minutes short film. He also played Nestor "The Jester" Best in the TV show King of Kensington.

Early Life and First Steps in Acting
Ardon Bess was born in Kingstown, which is the capital of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. After finishing high school there, he worked as a bank teller. Even before moving to Canada, Ardon was already acting and directing plays in his hometown.
In 1964, he moved to Canada and first lived in Oakville, Ontario. He briefly studied architecture at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto. While at Ryerson, a classmate encouraged him to try out for an acting role. This led to his first professional theatre job in a play called The Teahouse of the August Moon. After this, Ardon left Ryerson to study acting at the National Theatre School of Canada.
