Arisa Trew (born 12 May 2010) is an amazing Australian skateboarder. She made history by winning a gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Early Life and Skateboarding Start

Arisa Trew was born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, on May 12, 2010. Her mother, Aiko, is from Japan, and her father, Simon, is from Wales. When Arisa was two years old, her family moved to the Gold Coast. This is where she grew up and started skateboarding at age seven. Arisa is good friends with another Australian Olympic skateboarder, Ruby Trew. They often joke that they are cousins!

Skateboarding Career Highlights

Landing the 720 Trick

At an event called Tony Hawk's Vert Alert in Salt Lake City, she became the first female skateboarder to successfully land a 720 trick in a competition. A 720 trick means spinning two full times (720 degrees) in the air! This trick was made famous by the legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk back in 1985.

X Games Success

Arisa continued her winning streak at the X Games.

  • In July 2023, she won two gold medals at the X Games in California. She won both the women's vert and park events.
  • She repeated this amazing achievement in June 2024. She won both the vert and park gold medals again at the X Games in Ventura, California.
