Arkmo is a very interesting place in the United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a small area where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
What makes Arkmo extra special is its unique location. It sits right on the border between two different states: Arkansas and Missouri!
Where is Arkmo Located?
Arkmo is found in two different counties at the same time. Part of it is in Mississippi County, Arkansas (in Arkansas), and the other part is in Dunklin County, Missouri (in Missouri). Most of Arkmo is actually on the Missouri side of the state line.
You can find Arkmo where two important roads meet. These are Arkansas Highway 77 and Missouri Route 108. It's located about 3.5 miles (5.6 kilometers) south of a town called Arbyrd, Missouri. This spot makes Arkmo a small but important crossroads for people traveling between these two states.
