Arlando Teller is an important American leader. He works for the U.S. Department of Transportation. Since March 2023, he has been the Assistant Secretary for Tribal Government Affairs. This means he helps connect the government with Native American tribes on transportation issues. Before this, he was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2019 to 2021. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
About Arlando Teller
Arlando Teller studied at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He finished his studies in 1995. Before he became a politician, he worked for the Navajo Department of Transportation. He was the deputy director there.
In 2018, Teller was chosen by voters to join the Arizona House of Representatives. He represented District 7. He took over from State Representative Wenona Benally. Teller served in this role starting January 14, 2019. He left this position on February 1, 2021.
In February 2021, Teller joined the United States Department of Transportation. He was first a deputy assistant secretary for tribal affairs. Later, on March 31, 2023, he was named Assistant Secretary of Tribal Government Affairs. This new position was created by a law called the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
