Armand Gérard Gaudreault (born July 14, 1921 – died July 2, 2013) was a Canadian ice hockey player. He played as a left wing. He is best known for playing in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Gaudreault played 44 games with the Boston Bruins during the 1944–45 season. Most of his hockey career, which lasted from 1940 to 1952, was spent in other leagues. These included the Quebec Senior Hockey League and the American Hockey League. Gaudreault was born in Lac Saint-Jean, Quebec.
Armand Gaudreault's Hockey Journey
Armand Gaudreault started his professional hockey career in 1940. He began playing for the Quebec Aces. This team was part of the Quebec Senior Hockey League (QSHL).
Playing for the Boston Bruins
In 1944, Gaudreault got a chance to play in the NHL. He signed with the Boston Bruins. The NHL is one of the biggest hockey leagues in the world.
He played 44 games for the Bruins during the 1944–45 season. In that one season, he scored 15 goals and earned 24 points. This was his only time playing in the NHL.
After the NHL
After his time with the Bruins, Gaudreault played in the American Hockey League (AHL). He had two very good seasons with the Hershey Bears. He scored 21 goals in one season and 23 goals in the next.
He later returned to play for the Quebec Aces in 1949. He stayed with the Aces until he retired from hockey in 1952.
Later Life
Armand Gaudreault passed away in Quebec City on July 2, 2013. He was 91 years old.
