Armani Williams (born April 14, 2000) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He has competed in several major racing series. These include the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the ARCA Menards Series. He has also raced in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Armani Williams is known for being the first NASCAR driver who is openly diagnosed with autism. To help raise awareness, his race cars often feature blue designs. These designs include blue autism puzzle pieces. He is also one of four African-American drivers currently racing in NASCAR. The others are Bubba Wallace, Rajah Caruth, and Blake Lothian.

Racing Career Highlights
Starting Young in Racing
Armani Williams comes from a family that loves cars. His great-grandfather owned a shop that repaired car bodies. As a child, Armani loved playing with Hot Wheels toy cars. He later discovered NASCAR races on TV. He immediately knew that racing was what he wanted to do.
He started racing go-karts when he was 8 years old. After that, he moved on to racing bandoleros. He went to a special school to learn competitive go-karting. Then he began to take part in go-kart races.
Racing in Canada
Williams first raced in the ARCA Truck Series. When that series ended, he moved to the NASCAR Pinty's Series in Canada. This was in 2017. He drove a No. 28 Dodge car for his mentor, D. J. Kennington.
He raced in five events that year. His best finish was eleventh place in his very first race. This race was at Delaware Speedway. In 2018, he raced once more in Canada. He drove a No. 97 Dodge at New Hampshire. There, he earned his first top-10 finish, coming in ninth place.
Competing in NASCAR Series
In 2018, Armani raced once in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West. He drove for different teams in these races. He returned to the West Series team in 2019. He finished twelfth in one of those races. In the East Series, he finished eleventh at New Hampshire.
In 2020, Williams made his debut in the ARCA Menards Series. He raced at Phoenix and finished 17th. Later that year, he scored a top-ten finish at Michigan.
He made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut in 2021. He raced at Gateway and finished 21st. He also planned to race in a few more Truck Series events in 2022.
Armani's Life Outside Racing
Living with Autism
Armani Williams was diagnosed with autism spectrum at age two. He spoke his first word when he was three years old. Growing up, he had some challenges with social interactions and sensory issues. These are common for people on the autism spectrum. However, with help from his parents, he learned to improve and overcome these challenges.
Education and Inspiration
When he was ten, Armani and his father went to the 2010 Brickyard 400 race. This event, along with playing with toy cars and watching NASCAR on TV, sparked his love for racing. He is currently studying mechanical engineering at Oakland University. His favorite driver when he was growing up was Jimmie Johnson.
Armani is from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He managed to keep a good grade point average in high school. He did this while balancing his schoolwork with his racing career.
