Aromat is a popular food seasoning that helps make meals taste even better. It was created in Switzerland in 1952 by a person named Walter Obrist. He worked for Knorr Thayngen, which is the Swiss part of the German food company Knorr.

When Aromat was first made, it had a different name: "Pflanzenextrakt". This German word means "plant extract." In 1953, Knorr changed the name to Aromat. They also changed how it looked, from small cubes to a fine powder. Today, Knorr describes Aromat as an "all-purpose savoury seasoning" that is sold all around the world.

What is Aromat Made Of?

The ingredients in Aromat can be a little different depending on where you buy it. However, it usually contains a special ingredient called monosodium glutamate. This is a flavour enhancer, which means it helps to bring out the natural taste of food.

Aromat might also have other ingredients. These can include yeast extract, flour made from wheat or corn, and sometimes a type of oil called partially hydrogenated vegetable oil. It also has different herbs, spices, and other plant extracts to give it its unique flavour.
