Where is Arosio Located?

Arosio is nestled in the beautiful region of Ticino, Switzerland. The village itself was made up of two main parts, or settlements, known as Terra di sopra (Upper Land) and Terra di sotto (Lower Land). These two areas combined to form the village we know as Arosio.

Arosio's Journey: Becoming Part of Alto Malcantone

For many years, Arosio was a standalone municipality, meaning it had its own local government. However, in 2005, a big change happened. Arosio, along with four other villages, decided to merge. This merger created a new, larger community called Alto Malcantone. This kind of change helps villages work together more efficiently and share resources.
