Vezio facts for kids
Vezio is a small village in Switzerland. It's located in the canton of Ticino, which is like a state or region in Switzerland. Vezio used to be its own separate "municipality," which means it had its own local government, similar to a town or city.
In 2005, Vezio joined with some nearby villages to form a bigger municipality called Alto Malcantone. These villages were Arosio, Breno, Fescoggia, and Mugena. This merger helped them work together more efficiently.
Vezio's Past Population
Over the years, the number of people living in Vezio changed. In 1670, about 194 people lived there. The population grew to 273 by 1850, but by 1990, it was back down to around 171 people. These numbers show how communities can change over time.
