Arró (pronounced "ah-ROO") is a small village in Catalonia, a region in Spain. It's part of a larger area called Val d'Aran and belongs to the town of Es Bòrdes. For a long time, Arró was its own separate town until 1847.
Exploring Arró
Arró is a charming village found high up in the mountains. It sits at an elevation of 885 meters (about 2,900 feet) above sea level. You can find it on the right side of the Garonne river, in the far northwest part of its local area.
This village is quite small. In 2005, only 25 people lived there. A short road connects Arró to the main N-230 highway.
The most important building in Arró is the Church of Sant Martí. This church has a mix of old building styles. It shows both Romanesque and Gothic designs. The church also has a special bell tower with eight sides.
